She’s standing on the edge,
Holding her world in her hand.
So small, so sweet,
Its so perfect from where she stands.
She looks up to him,
Pleading with her eyes.. she demands,
“Why do you want to destroy it?”
He said…
“Because I can!”
Those three simple words were…
As true as her love.
For her love gives him the power,
To hurt her.
She tries to speak,
With tears down her cheek,
Her voice caught in her throat
And her legs weak.
He doesn’t feel her pain,
As her cries echo in vain…
He snatches her world from her hand,
And throws it as far as he can.
She watches it being shattered to pieces,
She drops to her knees,
As time ceases.
The boy smiles,
As she tries to find the broken parts.
“Its gone! Its gone!” she cries all the while…
and it begins to hurt.
She’s dying without his love,
And he couldn’t care less.
Its impossible for him to see,
That he’s her whole happiness.
As she takes her last breath,
And begs him to stay…
He bends down to whisper
“The End.”
And walks away.
